Iberflat Apartamentos Trinidad

My girlfriend was alone in the room when someone began knocking and trying to get inside. We messaged the EMERGENCY number they had given us, but never got a reply.

The flat had most of what we needed, including dishes, utensils, pots and pans, a microwave, a small tabletop grill press, a hand blender, a hair dryer, and an iron. There's a little shop two portals away and a grocery store around the corner. It's also very well located, near Plaza Mayor, mercado central, the Cathedral, and the shops. The bus or tram stops just around the corner; the other route may be a 10-15 minute walk. A heads-up: messages might land in spam, and P5/P7 refers to Portal, since there are two separate doors. We thought piso meant level in Spanish, didn't look it up, and ended up sitting in the rain for ages while the messages were in spam. The flat is otherwise empty, and the washing machine takes hours to wash and dry. You can zip up the couch cushion if you have the patience, since it slides out. I gave up and kept pushing it back in. I'd stay here again.

The glasses were filthy with grime, which goes right into your mouth. I was there with my swimming team, and when we opened the sofa bed, it was covered in hairs, as if the sheets hadn't been changed or even shaken out. The shower screen was soaked, but a damp paper towel wiped away all the marks easily. It seemed like no one had even given it a quick clean. At that point, it felt like a hygiene issue, not just poor cleanliness.

The apartments are comfortable and practically new, right in the city center. But we found hairs on the walls and doors, and the emergency phone wasn't consistently answered. I called a few times about a faulty light and missing batteries for the TV; in the end, no one brought any.
