There’s plenty of space, but I wouldn’t call this a vacation rental. The apartment is very old and needs renovation. We could hear the street and the plumbing, and some appliances didn’t work. The microwave was out of order, and the biggest problem was the gas cylinder for hot water. It ran out on Saturday night, and we couldn’t get hold of the owner to arrange a replacement, so we had no hot water.

The apartment itself was nice, clean, and right in the center, and Manuel and his family were wonderful to us. I especially appreciated how kind and understanding they were while I was dealing with a lot of mishaps. Our accommodation flooded a few days before the stay. Book*** didn’t warn me, wouldn’t refund my money for 15 days, and gave me no solution, but Manuel managed to find us a place and went to extraordinary lengths to help with everything. He and his family did all they could to make us comfortable, and let me focus on my exam. They have huge hearts. Don’t hesitate, you’ll be fine. Thanks so much, Manuel. You know I’ll be back soon. :)

The location and the rest of the stay were great, which makes this frustrating. Before the 11 am checkout time, people came into the apartment to clean without asking permission. Why would they do that before we were due to leave?
