The building and setting are excellent, and the long journey to get here feels worthwhile. But when I asked about lunch, the cook wasn't in, so I was sent around the corner to a below-par restaurant. The young waiter was very polite, but the chef... well. Cuevas is off the beaten track, and I know it's hard to keep supplies for a menu. Still, a good visit brings people back, as it did with me, while a disappointment...

The calm here settles in almost right away at Hotel Don Íñigo de Aragón. Sitting on the terrace facing the mountains and breathing the fresh air soothes the soul and calms the spirit. Cuevas de Cañart has a kind of magic in its streets, stones, and very essence. It's a restorative return to nature and to yourself, perfect for anyone who loves peace and quiet or wants to get away from the rush and noise.
