The staircase lighting didn’t work, so I couldn’t see to get my key into the door. My room also had a window that wouldn’t close because it was held to the wall with tape. The TV didn’t work because the aerial was broken, and the room wasn’t finished properly. The bathroom door had handles but no lock, and the toilet seat was too small for the toilet. Breakfast was a joke and definitely wasn’t worth €8. The website said the cafe bar was open, but it only opened on weekends. The management felt like Mickey Mouse. This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in, and I wouldn’t go back even if I were paid to.

On a wet night in August, we were glad to find a small tent spot at Camping Solopuent, since all the other campsites nearby were full. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the pool looked inviting and felt warm. The first shower I tried had no water, so I switched to the communal one, which was only lukewarm. For one night without electricity, the small patch of grass beside the barrier felt very expensive. The barrier also made a high-pitched noise all night.

We got there early enough to check in before reception closed, but were told it was closed and that there was no room for our three small tents. That was a shock, since there looked to be plenty of space on the campground. A terrible experience all around. Avoid it if you can.

The staff were friendly and helpful, though the price felt a bit high, as I’ve found at many Spanish campsites. Our pitch was small and would have felt very cramped if ours had been the only camping car there. It was quiet during our July 2020 stay, and the ablution block was clean and modern, but the showers were unpredictable, sometimes far too hot and sometimes cold. It was very hot and we were plagued by flies, though that was down to the time of year, not the site.

For the experience we had, the tent pitch seemed quite expensive. The bathrooms weren’t clean, and nobody could clearly explain where the water was safe to drink and where it wasn’t.
