Albergue De Castillazuelo

There were eight of us, and we were all so pleased with the cleanliness and service that we’ll be back. We were in the area for rafting, and the people at Castillazuelos were fantastic. We’ll definitely return.

Eva gave us a warm welcome to a clean, peaceful inn, and it was lovely to get a feel for village life too. She runs a little bar in the square below the inn. It was a wonderful family stay in a quiet village near Alquezar. There’s plenty to see and do within an easy drive, so it works well for friends, families, and children.

Castillazuelo is handy for a lot of places, including Alquézar, the Colungo rock shelters, the Buera fork, the Alodia winery, Bierge, and areas for climbing and canyoning. We also happened to be there for the village festival. Everyone welcomed us warmly and invited us to join the communal meal, children’s activities, and more, which made the trip extra special. Two families spent six nights at the hostel and had a wonderful time. The facilities were comfortable and clean, and Eva greeted us with professionalism and real enthusiasm. You can get breakfast, picnic lunches, and dinner there, and we could also use the dining room ourselves, with its microwave, refrigerator, and utensils. During the heatwave, Eva made sure our room was cool and lent us a fan. The windows have mosquito nets too. There’s a little bar downstairs, with terrace tables where locals often gather. A highly recommended vacation!

We ended up staying for several days. The hostel is super clean, spacious, comfortable, and really well run. There’s room to store bikes, and we had dinner and breakfast there too. Both were great.
