Hotel Hacienda Santa Barbara

I liked the room and the service, and the café was good value. It's a nice boutique-style hotel, with a pleasant patio in the room. Getting to Seville was fairly easy, either by Uber for about €15 or by public bus for one euro. The bus stop is close, and buses run every 20 to 30 minutes.

The hotel is clean, attractive, and well kept, and the staff were friendly and spoke English, which isn't common in Spain. But we had a few frustrations: there's no hotel parking, only nearby public parking that you have to pay for, and the more convenient elevator was out of order. The room numbers also seemed to have no logic to them. The main problem was the smoke smell. Smoking wasn't allowed in the hotel or our room, but the rule wasn't really enforced, and the room ended up smelling awful. We had to open the balcony just to breathe. Without that, it would've been five stars.

We paid 59 for two beds and stayed one night. The rooms were clean, and lunch was 8-10€. It's a nice hotel about a 10-minute drive outside Sevilla.

The room felt a little dark and closed in because it had no window directly facing outdoors. The furniture was fine, but keep that in mind if you care about natural light. The hotel is new and well maintained, and the neighborhood felt pleasant and safe. I stayed two nights and found it fairly easy to get around Sevilla by Uber, usually for €13-17. For the price, it was good value, and I'd consider staying again.
