Casa Rural Valle Tosande

We found the house easy to reach from the road and well located. The owners are really friendly, and the place suits a stay in this part of Palencia very well. Inside, everything was just right, with a well-equipped kitchen. There’s a peaceful outdoor patio too, lovely for relaxing and roomy enough for a barbecue.

Montse, the manager, was attentive, helpful, and friendly, and there’s plenty of parking just outside. We’ve stayed here twice now, and if we return to the area I wouldn’t look anywhere else. The house is spacious, very clean, and comfortable for a large group, with a very competitive price. In the common area there’s a BBQ, a gas stove for making paella, some exercise equipment, and a lovely dining area with well-kept wooden tables and beautiful decor.

Fourteen of us stayed for two nights, and Montse took wonderful care of us before, during, and at checkout. The three cozy houses are spread across two buildings joined by a shared courtyard, and they had everything we needed. They’re in the small village of Cantoral de la Peña in the Palencia mountains, very close to the Tosande Valley and 9 km from Cervera de Pisuerga. Highly recommended.

Our room was comfortable and warm, and the price was good. The service was excellent, and the location worked perfectly for us since we were traveling and it was right on our route. They also have a simple breakfast, a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker, which came in handy, plus a few little tables outside. You can book by calling directly. We only stayed one night, but I’d happily come back and recommend it.
