The flavors were unlike anything I’d tried before, and the whole meal was a real surprise. We went for the tasting menu; it ran a little long for dinner, and I’d worried the flavors might be too intense, but that wasn’t how it felt. The place has a classy, elegant feel. I’d highly recommend it.

The wine cellar alone is worth a look, with nearly a thousand different bottles and references, from Champagne and Jerez to local Toro wines and others. This is a Michelin-starred temple of game cooking in Spain, run by a lovely family with friendly staff. There’s also a cozy hotel on site, managed by the same family.
