Casa Las Tres Hermanas

We had a great stay in a house that had everything we needed, and I’d happily recommend it. The pool was harder to enjoy, though, because of the chlorine or whatever they use to clean it. We also accidentally broke a window handle. The owners repaired it and returned the rest of our deposit, so I have no complaint about how they dealt with it.

We had a great time, and the welcome was really warm. The house is well equipped with good amenities. Every now and then the power went out, apparently when too many things were switched on. There was also a bad smell around the pool, and next door there seemed to be a chicken coop or some kind of animal breeding place.

The house itself was fine, but there was an upstairs floor I only found out about later. We didn’t have enough beds, and he never mentioned that extra floor. Parking was a mess for such a big house, with hardly any space, so we had to leave the car on the street. There was barely any firewood. I had to buy more after he ignored us. When you arrive, check for damage with him standing there. I was left with a freezer drawer lid right away, and a fridge shelf was already broken. We sent him a photo and explained, but he still kept our deposit. He also refused to give us the receipt when we asked. He’s a crook. I’ll never go back or recommend the place to anyone.

The house is lovely and close to where we live, and we even left a day early. But I agree completely with the complaints about the deposit. Three days after we’d gone, the owner called to say he was keeping some of it because things were broken. That wasn’t true. They were broken when we arrived. Make sure you check everything with him before you go in, or he may later try to blame you.
