The wine tour at bodegas Nodus was the one thing I’d happily return for. The bodega itself is wonderful, and the restaurant was pretty decent, but the hotel was a disaster and dragged down the image of a lovely winery. The rooms are tiny, with no AC, and it was over 30° inside in summer, so sleeping comfortably was impossible. The mattresses seemed very old and probably weren’t cleanest either, since I found a bug. The bathroom was worst of all: a strong sewer smell that made me pinch my nose just to go in, a toilet that wouldn’t flush, and a shower head that wasn’t even hanging up, so I couldn’t really shower. They said it had just been renovated, which makes me wonder how much worse it could get. Breakfast was barely a selection, with sweaty ham and cheese, dry bread, and fruit that wasn’t fresh. You can’t just improvise your way into being a hotelier.

The countryside views are amazing, and it’s a great spot to get away from the busy cities. Breakfast was great, and they provide wifi and other amenities too. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. Can’t wait to come back!

The bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean, and the wine and food were excellent. We felt at home and comfortable thanks to the friendly, accommodating staff. It’s a remote spot with lovely surroundings, free of traffic and hassle. Would 100% recommend.

The wine tour with Angel was excellent, and she made it special. She’s a little treasure. Rachel was great fun, and nothing was too much trouble. Everyone was so helpful. We’ll visit again with family. Xx
