We stayed warm with the heating and fireplace, and the service was good. The place was comfortable for us, though the mattresses weren’t very comfortable. At night the jacuzzi made quite a bit of noise in the upstairs rooms.

The owner, Pedro, was quick to help and sorted out any problems I had straight away. We spent three days there hoping to unwind, and that’s exactly what we got. The house is in a peaceful area, good for walks or just getting some fresh air, and it looks even better in person than in the pictures. It has four floors, with the jacuzzi and barbecue upstairs at the very top. I only wish there were a small fridge up there for drinks, so we didn’t have to keep going up and down. Otherwise, everything was perfect. We’ll definitely return.

We were eight, and the house worked perfectly for our group. It’s spacious and spread across four floors, with a bathroom and TV in every bedroom. The beds were comfortable, the facilities well kept, and the decor lovely. The living room and kitchen share a large open space with a fireplace, and the heating throughout made it really cosy. The jacuzzi and barbecue area were fantastic. The house is even prettier in person. Pedro was kind and attentive the whole time. We’ll definitely be back!

The house has four floors, and the top one has its best feature, the jacuzzi, plus a sun terrace with lovely village views and another terrace with a table, chairs, and barbecue. But the shower screens were dirty, the jacuzzi stopped working at 11:00 AM, and its filter was noisy at night, making it impossible to sleep. There was no firewood for the barbecue, so we asked for some. When it didn’t come, we bought charcoal, and a man showed up with the wood just as we were finishing eating. There were also cobwebs with spiders and a little mouse in the closed chimney. Thank goodness it was shut. The dining room by the entrance is spacious, but the Wi-Fi didn’t work there. The kitchen has a bar, but the appliances were dirty and there weren’t enough utensils. We had to borrow a corkscrew from our very nice neighbour. Plates, glasses, and cutlery were filthy with dried-on food. We found one dirty dishcloth, a scourer, and one dishwasher tablet, but no salt, oil, or anything else. The laundry room had what you need, except detergent and fabric softener. You don’t bring those on holiday, you expect them to be provided. On the next two floors, each small bedroom had two tiny beds and a bathroom in the hallway. The rooms were dirty and coated in limescale, with nothing in them. There weren’t enough towels, and the large showerhead sent water outside the shower. The master bedroom and its ensuite had the same issues, plus lots of empty air freshener bottles. The woman who let us in was unpleasant and kept calling to ask when we’d arrive, even though we’d confirmed already. She said there was no checkout rush because they had no other bookings and we could leave whenever we liked. Then at 10:30 PM, she called again asking for the only key, which all seven of us had to share. They hurried us to arrive, then hurried us to leave. It could be a lovely house for a relaxing weekend if it met the relevant health standards, especially with everything going on.
