The surroundings are beautiful, with lovely walks and bike rides, and the receptionist was friendly and helpful. The facilities were clean and nice, but the shower water was cold, and there was no hot water for washing dishes or clothes. We had a dog barking all night on both nights, waking us repeatedly. We think it lives on the site, since we were the only guests the first night and the only other camper the second night had no dog. We were charged €29 for the first night even though the pool and restaurant were closed, and we were the only ones there. They said it was high season, but if the price is that high, everything should be open. The second night they lowered the rate to £23.

The pool was great, and the cabin itself was comfortable and nice. Having the toilet and shower on opposite sides worked well for a group of three or four, though the toilet was really small. The weak Wi-Fi only worked at the bar and entrance, and we couldn’t make or receive phone calls. Almost perfect.

I was traveling in a motor home, so I didn’t use a bungalow. The campsite sits by the Hueznar river, surrounded by rich vegetation and lots of trees, between Cazalla and San Nicolas de la Sierra. The bathrooms were very clean, with plenty of hot water. The motorhome price included emptying grey and black water, refilling, and an electricity hookup.

We had loads of space and were surrounded by nature in a natural park. We could hear the little river flowing at our spot, and there were beautiful city cycling routes. Still, the place felt below standard overall. The price was the highest we paid, even compared with city and beach campsites, despite the remote location and facilities that didn’t meet expectations. The website’s pricing information wasn’t accurate. When we said our small tent didn’t need electricity, the receptionist acted as if we couldn’t opt out, despite the price list online. She only spoke Spanish, with no English or French, so discussion was impossible. The facilities looked dated, and my shower was cold. We also saw two dead mice in the swimming pool, which put us off swimming.

The site had a very good pool and restaurant. The road surface around the camp was dusty, though there wasn’t much they could do about that.
