I made a Booking.com reservation a year ahead for the November 2026 long weekend. A few days later, they said they couldn’t charge the card on file. That’s false: it’s the same card I’ve used on Booking.com for years, and I’m a GENIUS member. I checked again and, surprise, the same reservation had gone up by 30-35%. Then I booked a smaller property and got the same card excuse. Again, false. It’s the same card I’d used to book another place a few days earlier, and that accommodation had validated it without any problem. Make of that what you will. I’ve made up my mind: I’ll never set foot in that accommodation or recommend it to anyone. P.S. I just booked a much cheaper place very close by for the same dates. They’ve also just blocked me on WhatsApp, which only makes me feel more convinced I’m right.

We had a perfect weekend at this rural getaway, a great place to switch off from daily life. There’s no cell service, but Wi-Fi is available. The pool was fantastic and well maintained, the grounds were more than adequate, and the staff were very friendly. There are bike routes along the nearby river too.

Just an hour from Seville, this is a great spot for a weekend outdoors. We hiked and cycled, explored the suspended park, and cooled off in the Huesna River by its lovely waterfalls. The peaceful cabins, pool, and included breakfast made it feel like a real treat for a good price.

Be careful booking with the cancellation option. I reserved one night through the Book platform for a date more than a month away, with free cancellation until a few days beforehand. It said 50% would be charged after booking but gave no date, so I assumed it would be after the cancellation window. Instead, they tried to charge me two days later. We ended up not going, and the recent reviews make me think that was probably for the best. Check the negative reviews before booking.
