Spectacular!

The gardens and grounds were a real highlight, quiet and lovely for a walk or just switching off. The entrance has a pretty rustic look, and the games and meeting room is very nice, though I’d swap out the wicker basket for a straw one. In the dining room we had a fantastic tasting menu. The salmon and prawn skewers were especially good, and everything else was delicious too. Breakfast was very good as well. Maribel and Laura looked after us with so much care and made us feel at home. The rooms were the one letdown for me. They had good heating and plenty of hot water, but the decor felt dated and lacked taste. The 70s-style bedspreads, blankets, and cushions didn’t make a good impression, and I think Nordic duvets would suit them better. The tiny, tablet-sized TV could be left out, and the bathroom shower setup felt cheap, especially when a high-mounted handheld showerhead is affordable these days. It’s a rural house near Celanova, but I still think the rooms could be improved. Even so, I’d highly recommend visiting the Ansemil rectory.

A big thank you to Javi for being so helpful throughout. We had our wedding at the Ansemil Rectory, and the beautiful, peaceful setting gave the ceremony a special charm and made it even more moving. It’s a place full of meaning and calm, just right for such an important occasion. We’ll always remember it as somewhere very special.

December 14, 2025 was our wedding day there, and it turned out just as we’d dreamed. Javi and his team took care of everything so it all went smoothly. Our guests were delighted with the venue, the food, and the service. We’re so grateful they handled such an important day for us. If I could rate it, I’d give it 1000 stars!
