The hills and valleys around this little hotel make it a lovely place to slow down, breathe the mountain air, and read. It’s simple living with a hint of Spanish elegance, and very good value. One young man seemed to cover every staff role, and looked after me so well that he even wrote out the menu in English. A real gem of a peaceful spot.

The toast was delicious, with lovely crisp bread. I’ve made a note to stop by for breakfast or other errands if I’m in the area again. This café has a warm, authentic feel, with Christmas decorations everywhere, from little trees and figurines to the “Merry Christmas” sign. The waiter still proudly wears his Christmas sweater, as though the season never ended. I also liked seeing newspapers and magazines at the counter. It’s a nice reason to pause with a coffee and enjoy the moment.

The hotel was wonderfully quiet, and the location was excellent. We stayed a few days; our room was clean and the service was incredibly friendly. I’d definitely come back.
