We only got to spend one night at this outstanding place last May, unfortunately. We were travelling through northern Spain and northern Portugal, so we couldn’t stay any longer. Just before we arrived, it had been raining, and the woods looked magical. This was easily the best accommodation of our trip. If we make it back to Galicia, we’ll be sure to visit again. The buildings feel like a living museum, and just being there takes you back 300 years. The meal we had was simple, tasty, and homemade, though the food itself isn’t the main draw. The local people who put so much time and love into restoring this beautiful place deserve medals, and, above all, visitors.

The stone house is such a relaxing place to leave your worries behind. Its atmosphere feels like the last century, while the services are what you’d expect from a modern facility. One of the most impressive places I’ve stayed in.
