We slept soundly even though the town was noisy with fireworks and firecrackers during the festivities. The hotel is a little outside the center, but still an easy walk, and it has an elevator up to the rooms on the second floor. The owners also run the restaurant downstairs beside the cafe, and we came back to eat there after our stay. The food was that good: daily menus under $20 included two courses, dessert, a drink, and bread, with plenty of options, even for picky ovolacto-vegetarians. The place describes itself as a Bed & Breakfast. Our room was spotless, cozy, and comfortable for what we needed. Breakfast was worth adding to the booking. The bread was crunchy and delicious, with a choice of fillings, usually served with olive oil and freshly rubbed tomato, which I love. The coffee was very good too. Simple food, but delicious.

John greeted us and was ready to help with anything. All the staff were friendly, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. Our room was spacious, lovely, and spotlessly clean, with a wonderful smell. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and the big bathroom had a great shower. We also had a great pizza from the restaurant downstairs, which has a bar. Our Honda Goldwing could park right in front in the hotel's reserved spaces. We'd come to see Marc & Alex Marquez's home town and needed somewhere at short notice, out of the scorching sun. So glad we found this place. I probably won't return to Cervera, but I'd definitely recommend staying here.

I ended up at Bonateca after Hostal Bonavista was locked up even though I'd booked. What a lucky break. Bonateca was cheaper, much nicer, and had a wonderful room.

The staff were really friendly and attentive. Dinner was good, and better than I expected.

The breakfast was a bit questionable. The rest was spotless and modern.
