The room and bathroom were a decent size, clean, and comfortable. There aren’t any kitchen facilities, but there’s a very popular restaurant and bar across the road from the cafe. The cafe was closed because it was early in the season. You need to pick up your key at the Jumboli cafe, about 50 metres from the rooms. We read the mixed reviews and aren’t sure why, because our stay was great. It’s right on the Camino. We sometimes needed Google Translate to communicate, but that was fun too.

They wanted to charge me €5.80 for a small bottle of water and a piece of cold tortilla! I just walked out and grabbed a bite at Keler bar across the street.

I wouldn’t recommend this place to other pilgrims. There’s no shared kitchen, no fridge for storing food, and no washing or drying machine. The staff weren’t very friendly either. They don’t speak English or even try to find a way to communicate.

My husband waited at the bar while other people were served, but they refused to serve him. We were bike trekking on a hot day, and a cold beer and lunch would have been lovely.

Our rate included dinner and breakfast. Dinner was two courses, with dessert and a drink, and the service was good. The staff were friendly too. Our room was hostel quality, but at least we had a private room. The hostel is a little apart from the bar and restaurant where you check in and out. A nice place on the Camino Portugues.
