They sorted out a problem with our room right away, moved us, and even included breakfast for free. The room was large and spacious. The location made getting around easy, with a five-minute walk to the bus station, 15 minutes to the ferry terminal and all the sights within walking distance. Thanks for making Ceuta a great vacation destination.

The staff were outstanding, especially Ignacio, and our room had a great view. We could walk everywhere from this central spot. The facilities could use updating, but it was the off season and they were working on dune stuff.

At breakfast we learned that the €91 room price we'd been quoted at reception didn't include breakfast. Breakfast cost another €35 per person. Yet the booking systems listed the room at €65 without breakfast or €89 with it.

The building has a lot of character, with modern comforts and ancient city walls incorporated into the grounds. Our room was spacious and clean, and had a nice balcony with the essentials for a comfortable stay. The breakfast had plenty of variety and local touches, and the staff were welcoming and professional. The Parador of Ceuta sits right in the city centre, overlooking the port and just steps from the historic old town. I really enjoyed staying here and would happily return. It makes a great base for visiting Ceuta for work or leisure.

Breakfast was really, really bad: no eggs, just cold cuts, and no coffee because the machine was broken and they only had decaf pods. The hotel is clean but dated and quite noisy. It's right next to the army base, so expect to hear trumpets. Between this and the Ulyses, I'm not sure which is the least bad.
