Apartahotel Doña Reyes

The owners were so friendly and did whatever they could to help when we had car trouble. We loved the location, just a three-minute walk to the beach and town center, with bars and supermarkets nearby. Our apartment was clean and bright. We were there during a heatwave, but it stayed fairly cool, so we hardly needed the air conditioning. The fridge is small but was enough for a few days. The kitchen had the essentials, including a coffee maker and toaster. We'll be back!

The sheets are something to watch out for. If you stain them or anything like that, they'll count it as room damage and charge you a lot. I wouldn't come here if you expect the room to be cleaned daily. They ignored the sign every time we put it up and even made excuses for not cleaning. Towels are changed every three days because of water shortages, but you can pay extra to get them changed sooner. Leaving after midnight costs €40. Those may be normal charges, but there's no room cleaning, no toilet paper, and not even a mop bucket if you want to clean it yourself.

The shower water was freezing in mid-December, and we couldn't get help. Neither the phone nor reception answered. They do call beforehand to confirm your arrival time, and when you get there they are ready to process payment, but that's no use when something goes wrong. I had read about another guest having shower water problems four months earlier, yet nothing had been fixed by December. Cleaning and towels are only provided for stays of at least three days. There's NO SOLUTION. Check the older reviews, going back over two years, from when the accommodation seemed to be working properly. The 4.7 rating is unbelievable. Cancel while you still can.
