Hostal Costa de la Luz

I ended up having to book somewhere else, which was a real hassle. The hostel had confirmed my reservation, then less than two hours later the owner said another booking overlapped and told me I had to cancel. I was understandably angry: this was August 15th, a holiday weekend when finding another place is difficult. I told him that if he couldn't manage bookings responsibly, he shouldn't waste people's time and get their hopes up. A big disappointment. You've lost a customer.

That musty smell is unbearable. Even if it's “cheap,” it's not worth it. I can't give it fewer stars, or I would.

The atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant, and I'd happily recommend the place. Everyone on staff was attentive and lovely, especially the hotel manager. The location and service were fantastic too. Keep it up! 👌👏🙃

The location right by the beach was the one good thing. The place itself badly needs a facelift. There was a cockroach in every room and bathroom, and the sheets and bedspread looked old and weren't very clean, so we slept on our beach towels. The rusty, yellowed fridge stayed unused, and there was no remote for the TV. Run-down and old for the price, I wouldn't recommend it.
