BG Hotel Java

A good hotel in a very convenient spot, near the beach, bus stop, restaurants, and shops. Breakfast was fine, though a little repetitive. Some days there were extra items, and the fresh eggs and pancakes were a really nice touch that not many hotels offer. All in all, a good place to stay.

I arrived at 9:30 PM after booking through Luxair Tours, and the room clearly hadn't been prepared for a new guest. The bed linen was unchanged and full of hair from previous occupants, while the bathroom and toilet were dirty. It was extremely unpleasant and unacceptable. Since it was already late, no staff were available to bring clean sheets. The reception staff were kind and gave me duvets to put underneath, but I still had no proper covers and felt cold during the night. At dinner, I also saw staff clearing nearly finished buffet food with their bare hands, literally picking it up. That raised serious hygiene concerns. The stay didn't meet the standards I expected through Luxair Tours.

We spent 12 days here and had a great time. The rooms were clean, the food was nice, and the atmosphere was good. STANI was especially kind and welcoming, always smiling. The rest of the staff worked hard, though they seemed unhappy. When we arrived, the workers under reception were rude and didn't give us all the hotel information. We also waited hours for our room. Even so, we'd recommend it for its quiet location. Best wishes from the guests from Serbia.

The location was a real highlight, very close to the beach. Breakfast was tasty and had lots of choices, and our room was cleaned every day. Everything felt high quality, from the very clean room and soft towels to the lovely body care products. I've stayed in many hotels, and this is one of the best. I'd happily come back.
