BQ Belvedere Hotel

The buffet, especially dinner, was probably the best I've had at an all-inclusive, including at many five-star hotels. Cocktails were excellent, there was a good selection of local spirits, and the poolside bar worked well for daytime snacks with excellent table service. The staff were attentive and friendly, and for what we paid, the value was fantastic. We were thoroughly pleased with our four-night all-inclusive break. The hotel had what we needed, including a room fridge and free luggage storage on the last day. It was very clean and had modern, pleasant decor. I would absolutely recommend it and will come back. My only gripes: the pool bar smoking area is too open, so it's hard for non-smokers to avoid the smoke, and the late-night snack choices could be better and run until at least midnight.

The Wi-Fi was excellent and the entertainment team spoke fluent English. Breakfast was decent. Beyond that, this felt like a two- or three-star stay presented as four stars. There were ants in our room, and cleaning in general was very superficial. We paid extra for a sea view but saw trees, with the water only visible using 10x zoom on my phone. The room was tiny, not the advertised 20 square metres, and the single beds were unstable and noisy. All-inclusive food quality varied wildly. It was good for three days, then terrible for the other four and felt like recycled food. The included cocktails were undrinkable, and a decent one cost extra. The pool wasn't heated, and getting to the beach meant a gruelling walk down endless stairs. Most staff, including the manager, didn't speak English. Save your money.

The hotel was nice overall, and the entertainment staff were fantastic, welcoming and friendly, and kept the atmosphere lively. But we had a few problems. Breakfast disappointed us, and the double rooms felt smaller than at other hotels. At the bar, I ordered a slushy and a mocktail. After tasting them, my sister and I noticed a strong chemical flavour in one drink. I politely asked to switch it for another mocktail; the bartender did, but then said I had to pay again. After some back and forth, I paid the €1.50 difference, though I didn't think the situation was handled professionally. My sister told the waitress when we first ordered that she's vegetarian. Later, she ordered nachos, but they arrived with meat on them. They did replace the dish, thankfully, but it was frustrating that her dietary request hadn't been noted properly.

The entertainment crew made the holiday for me. They kept the energy and positivity up every day, always had something fun going on, and made sure everyone felt included. I had a great time joining the activities, and it was easily the best animation team I've experienced. Pietro became a friend during our stay, and Paula, Maria, and Cara were all kind, fun, and professional. They felt like a family, and by the end I felt part of it too. Thanks to them, the trip was unforgettable. At BQ Belvedere in Palma de Mallorca, everything else was great as well. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the resort was well maintained, and the food had plenty of variety. Service was excellent, with staff who were welcoming, kind, and helpful.
