H10 Itaca Hotel

Lovely hotel in a good location, with friendly staff. The terrace and pool were nice. One bedroom was a little too warm, and the air conditioning wasn’t up to the job. Drinks at the bar were a bit pricey compared with nearby bars.

For the first three nights of my birthday stay, construction above our room woke us every day. It sounded like workers were right in the room with us. I asked the staff to move us or refund us, but they offered no solution. The hotel itself is nice, but they knew work was happening in the room above and still put guests below it. Very poor people management and service.

We had one problem with the air conditioning: it didn’t work the first night, and staff couldn’t get it running then. They brought us a fan and fixed it on the second day. The bed was two twins pushed together, but they weren’t secured and kept separating. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay at h10 Ithaca. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and the room was large, with a big bed, suitcase rack, closet, chair, and fridge. The bathroom was spacious, with a nice tub and shower and everything we needed. We got a welcome drink and complimentary water in the room. It was an easy walk from the train station, and we were comfortable walking around town to see the sights. I’d highly recommend waffle barcelona!

We chose this hotel for a family trip with my son because it advertised a pool, which was one of the main reasons for booking. I booked at the end of October, but when we arrived, the pool was under renovation, completely closed, and surrounded by security barriers. Nobody had told us in advance. Reception said someone would get back to us about compensation, but that never happened, which felt unprofessional and showed poor customer service. The hotel also seemed outdated, with old-looking furniture in the rooms and bathrooms and facilities that need renovation. Breakfast was very average, nothing memorable. For such an expensive place, it wasn’t good value, and based on our experience I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
