It's handy for the metro and old city landmarks, and the location is the best part. Beyond that, don't expect much. At check-in, the receptionist insisted on a cash or credit card guarantee up front. There was no help at night: whenever we asked for something, we were told it would be dealt with in the morning. The bathrooms also need proper cleaning.

The room was clean, though the fittings inside, including in the bathroom, were in poor condition. Staff were friendly and helpful, and a guest service agent was there at the entrance to help with our bags. It was a good place to stay over the holidays.

The breakfast was really good, and the kitchen staff were lovely. The location was handy, near La Rambla and a metro station. A sweet receptionist also gave us early check-in since our room was ready. After that, things went downhill. Room service only made the beds, and even though we asked for the bathroom to be cleaned and the glasses changed, nothing was done. The soundproofing was terrible. Staying next to the elevator was like hell, and we could hear every word in the corridor. Some things didn't work, including our refrigerator. We left food in it and got food poisoning. When I told the men at reception about the food poisoning and the fridge, they did nothing about the cleaning issue. I expected some pills and an apology, but instead they accused me of causing it and said I shouldn't have put food in the fridge because they thought it was only for the minibar. Those problems and a lot of smaller things make this a 2-star hotel for me. Absolutely wouldn't recommend it. Stay safe and healthy 🙏

We walked everywhere from the hotel, and it turned out to be a great location, close to everything. I'd been a little unsure about the area, but we had no issues. My friend and I stayed for a week. The room was nice and just the right size. The only bother was hearing doors open and close in the hallway, and that only really happened when new guests arrived midweek.
