Hostal El Puerto

Right in the center, about 5m from Regla beach and the shopping streets. It's clean and very well looked after, with a lovely decor, an elevator, and shared areas that include a terrace and a lounge with a microwave.

The damp on the wall in room 2 ran from below the window all the way across the front wall. I couldn't breathe properly after the first night, so I told reception I needed to move because of my health problems. They offered a different room the next day, saying a move on the day I asked wasn't possible, although there were checkouts. I can't say whether it was because I booked through Booking.com, but I wasn't willing to spend another night like that. We had to leave halfway through the weekend. They charged me €123 for the first night, and I had to find somewhere else.

One room smelled bad because of damp, so they moved us the next night. Apart from that, everything was great: spotless, a good breakfast, and very friendly staff. It's charming and well located.

We stayed a few days as a family and would recommend it. It's family-run and central, though in a quiet spot. Clean, with a comfortable bed, everything you need, and excellent service from all the staff. We'll definitely return.
