Hotel Vertice Chipiona Mar

We had dinner with friends at the restaurant, where the beach views are lovely and right out over the sea. The service was friendly and quick to respond. The food, though, really wasn’t up to standard. The ceviche was just a small piece of fish over something that looked like carrot, and the grilled vegetables had no taste. It seemed like frozen food that had been grilled or microwaved.

We stayed from 06-13.07.24 in a double room on the 3rd floor, with a big balcony and a direct sea view. The hotel is right on the beach promenade, and we could walk to all the town sights. There are plenty of shops and restaurants close by. The room and hotel were very clean and nicely furnished. The staff were charming, warm, and helpful, giving us restaurant tips and taking time to answer our questions and requests. Breakfast was excellent, with everything you could want, and the coffee was a delight. I forgot something when we left, but the helpful staff arranged for it to be forwarded to my home country perfectly. I also booked the pick up Service through the hotel, and that worked perfectly 🥰 I miss Chipiona, our beautiful sea view room, and especially the friendly staff, who I quickly grew to love. I’ll definitely return. Thank you so much for everything.

On our first stay, we booked a top floor room and watched the sun set over the ocean in the complimentary dressing gowns, with a glass of brandy. It wasn’t as expensive as it sounds. The people at reception, in the bar, and in the restaurant all went out of their way to give us a great experience. We’ll come back for our next anniversary. We’ve since visited again, after the takeover by Vertice, and it’s just as good. The rooms have been renovated and are clean and comfortable. The mattresses are a little too firm for me, though that’s just my preference. As others have said, the underground parking is very tight, so with a larger car, street parking is probably easier. As close to perfect as I can imagine.

We tried the 3 main dishes on the "menu del dia", each priced at 12-14€. The cod, atun, and salmon were all juicy and very good. The cod piece was the smallest, and it went to the tall guy among us. Grilled potatoes appeared for everyone without us having to ask, and the complimentary moscadet at the end had a delicate lemon flavor. The waiter was friendly and attentive. I’d have preferred to sit outside, where the white tables looked more inviting than the ones inside, but at 21h on 8 Dec, it was a little chilly on the beachfront, around 15'C. I’m glad I found this affordable gourmet restaurant, and we’ll definitely return.
