Posada Real La Vieja Chimenea Spa

The apartment was bright, comfortable and had everything we needed for our week at the Chaveto country house. Javier and Toni made us feel very welcome. We had a wonderful time and will definitely come back.

They gave us a different breakfast each day, with local Soria dishes and plenty of variety. The meals were spectacular too, and Toñi gladly accommodated some of our requests. She has a real knack for cooking, and explained the dishes and the meaning behind them so well. Javier also let us stay in the "old fireplace," nearly 300 years old, and showed us family heirlooms that made us feel we'd travelled back in time. The rooms were great for sleeping, getting ready and relaxing in comfort. Toñi suggested things to see in the village, and we even spotted a deer at sunset. Javier recommended places for the whole family to eat and visit as well. We had one of the best weekends of my life celebrating my grandparents' golden wedding. They closed the inn for our family of 11, including two children, one aged 9 and my daughter, who was 2.5. They were incredibly patient and knew how to handle the children. I saw comments saying children aren't allowed, and I'd say bringing them isn't a good idea for every case, though it depends on the situation. My parents had stayed here 24 years ago. A lot has improved since then, but my mother still remembered Toñi's cooking and their great service. I would honestly return for Toñi and Javier, the food and, above all, the memories we made. We stayed two nights, and I'm very grateful for their patience and everything they did. I highly recommend the place.

It's a restful place where you can switch off and feel at home. The owners, Javier and Toñi, make sure of that. The past and present sit together here, with an old-time feel and all the comforts of today.

Toñi and Javier made us feel right at home in this cozy, very quiet place. Our room was huge. We'll be back.
