Hostal Mónica

We went to the restaurant and were the only two people there, so the staff weren't under pressure, yet the waitress barely paid attention to us and was unfriendly. She literally dropped our plates on the table. The food seemed to come from a packet and had only been reheated in a microwave. It wasn't heated through, barely warm and cold in the centre. It wasn't really edible, so we left 80% of it, paid and walked out. The staff in the bar/cafe were brusque and unfriendly too, as if serving us was a chore they didn't want to do. Nothing about our experience at Hostel Monica would merit a recommendation, except to avoid eating there!
