Every evening brought a nice surprise, and Chrisje's Catalan cooking was delicious. Bart is a knowledgeable guide to the area, too. With its lovely setting and cozy feel, Can Patiras is a great choice for anyone who enjoys good food and beautiful surroundings.

The grounds around this restored Catalan farmhouse are huge, peaceful, and full of beautiful views. Bart was a terrific host, and the breakfast stood out for its fresh, high-quality food, with plenty to eat. Our room was comfortable, while the bathroom was simpler but worked perfectly; the suites are spacious. Can Patiras sits in Cistella, between Figueres and Besalú in the Alt Empordà region of Girona province. The greyhounds who live with Bart are a lovely touch, especially if you’re traveling with a dog of your own. Highly recommended.

The hosts made us feel at home and took care of every detail. There’s a pool, homemade breakfast, and beautiful, very comfortable rooms, all in a rural setting in the heart of the Garriga de l'Empordà region. If you love animals and nature, this hectare feels like a little paradise. Perfect.
