La Casa Grande

Our family of three, a couple and our adult daughter, couldn’t have been happier with our one night here. The service was welcoming, breakfast was delicious, and the rooftop space is incredible. The place just feels magical, like a night in paradise.

The shared rooftop terrace has a fantastic view, and we also loved the library and central atrium. Estafania and the staff were warm and welcoming. The building is beautiful, dating to around 1750 and now converted into a small hotel. It’s very close to Plaza Boticas, where we enjoyed two excellent restaurants: Meson Don Fernando, especially the Salmon ala Plancha, and the dining room at Bar San Marcos. Arcos DLF is a pleasant, quiet little town, good for day trips or simply winding down, which is what we did. The only small hassle was parking in the garage and then taking a taxi to the hotel at Plaza Boticas. The hotel provided coupons that saved us 5 euros per day on parking.

The breakfast cost extra, 11€ per person, but it was worth it: bread, coffee, five kinds of jam, honey, cheese, Iberian ham, olive oil, and more. For such a small price, this has been one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in, and I’d definitely return. Highly recommend it. The place is gorgeous and authentic, calm and a welcome break from outside while still feeling like a traditional Andalousie home. The owner and the people running the hotel were charming and welcoming. They showed us around, took us to our room, and showed us the rooftop with its fantastic view over the village.
