Hotel Puerta Ciudad Rodrigo

Clean, inexpensive, and nice service.

It was okay.

Ideal.

Dear Sir/Madam, My parents stayed at the hotel and went to its restaurant, where a waiter and a waitress wearing glasses were working. They seemed dismissive from the start and showed no professionalism. They spent time with a young couple who appeared to be their friends, based on their similar age and the fact they were drinking beer in the restaurant area. My parents waited patiently while the employees walked past them several times without acknowledging them. After quite a while, they had to ask to be served. The staff finally took their drink order, but when they tried to order food, they were curtly told that dinner wasn't served to anyone and they could only have what was on the counter. Reception had previously told them dining there would be no problem. The attitude and lack of interest in providing proper service were completely inappropriate and very disappointing. My parents had to leave without dinner, feeling indignant about treatment that is unacceptable at a hotel. I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with this experience. Please investigate what happened and take the necessary measures to prevent other guests going through the same thing. I would also appreciate a response about this matter.
