Comitas Floramar

The cove view was lovely, and there were plenty of good places to eat nearby. Our apartment and balcony were spacious, the staff were welcoming, and the pool was big enough for a proper swim. It was generally peaceful during the day. Breakfast was about what you’d expect at a hotel this size, with enough choice, though the juice selection was limited and the pastries weren’t great. Evening entertainment could be loud and made it hard to relax sometimes, but it usually ended around 10pm, so it wasn’t a major issue. The hotel was starting to feel run down and dirty when we visited near the end of the season. One of the only two lifts was out of order for our entire two week stay. We didn’t get into our room until 3pm on the first day, which would’ve been fine if it had been cleaned properly. There was black mould across the dark bathroom tiles, apparently after a season of poor ventilation and half-hearted cleaning, and the bedroom smelled mouldy too. The photo shows the inside of the safe. Our bedroom shutter was broken, so we kept it closed. On three separate occasions, the cleaner opened it and it got stuck in the top mechanism. Each time, maintenance had to come and dislodge it, but it was never repaired. By the third time I was quite cross, especially when the receptionist suggested I didn’t know how to use it. Despite those problems, I wouldn’t rule out coming back, perhaps early in the season when things are clean and in good repair. The stay was nice in some ways, though I was surprised so many people rated the hotel so highly.

The breakfast was satisfying, with a good range and solid quality. We also had a small issue in our studio, but the staff sorted it out immediately and professionally. They were the highlight of our stay, always friendly, smiling, and ready to help. I’d recommend booking a one bedroom apartment instead of a studio. It’s noticeably more comfortable and has a few extra amenities that make a real difference. The hotel itself is lovely, well kept, and in a great location. We had a very pleasant stay and would be happy to return.

Getting back from town meant climbing a bit of a hill, but we really didn’t mind. The location suited us perfectly, with the beach, shops, and restaurants just a short walk away. Our room was clean, lovely, and spacious enough for us and our two girls. The food was brilliant, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We loved our stay and would definitely go back.

The staff’s professional warmth and helpfulness made the week memorable, especially the bar and waiting staff. They seemed genuinely happy to be part of the place, and that feeling rubbed off on us. The catering and care for our coeliac daughter were better than anything we’ve experienced in the UK or on other holidays. We had a fabulous week at Comitas Floramar. The room was just what we needed, and the food was exceptional, particularly the breakfast and dinner buffets. The pool and bar had amazing views, while the hotel was close to the beach and activities but far enough away to feel serene.
