Dinner at Vermell was a surprisingly good part of the stay, and the grounds are beautiful, with thoughtful design everywhere. It’s relatively expensive, but the care and beauty of the place made the cost feel justified. Service, though, could be painfully slow or missing altogether. Breakfast was especially chaotic, and I waited 20 minutes for my first espresso. You have to sit back and enjoy the surroundings while you wait. Even so, I thought it was well worth it.

The team is what made this place stand out for us. Special thanks to Ximena, the General Manager, for being so professional, kind and welcoming. The setting, rooms and atmosphere were all exceptional, and this was the most special place we’ve stayed in Menorca. We loved our time here and hope to return soon.

We spent our mornings drinking coffee in the private garden. The villa had a quietly luxurious feel, with earthy colours, natural textures and thoughtful details that brought the outdoors in. It was peaceful around the estate, yet close to the lively and beautiful Cituedella town. On arrival we were offered a chilled drink and greeted warmly, which made us feel at home and well looked after straight away. The Mediterranean coast around the hotel is pristine, and the secluded setting feels like a little haven. We enjoyed all the comfort and hospitality, with General Manager Ximena Dipp taking such exquisite care of us. Thank you for making our holidays memorable.

Getting there is the one real difficulty, and reaching the beach is tricky too. The hotel has bikes for exploring nearby and going to the beach, since you can’t really do it by car. But the hotel itself is stunning, with incredible service and breathtaking surroundings. It felt peaceful and magical, and everything was perfect. Highly recommended!

Son Vell is a breathtaking little gem in Menorca. It exceeded what we expected in every way. Don’t miss it!
