La Quinta Menorca by Portblue Boutique

Our Garden terrace room was roomy, cleaned regularly, and really handy for spending time by the pool. Breakfast had lots of fresh choices throughout the service. Around the large pool, we never struggled to find a sunbed or a place to sit. They don’t allow reserving beds, which worked well, and towels were always available poolside. The whole hotel, including the pool and spa, was very clean and well maintained. It’s quiet and relaxing, with a laid-back pool atmosphere that suits an adults-only hotel. The staff were polite and gave us space, while staying in the background if we needed anything. We had a lovely, pleasant stay for 10 nights and no complaints. Thank you, James and Joanna.

The food was good, especially the delicious beef cannelloni at dinner, and the restaurant waiters worked well as a team. Eva, the Hotel Manager, made a real effort to find me and speak with me about the discrimination issue. Thank you for that. I also enjoyed the spa, though its facilities could use some maintenance. The hotel is only a 5min walk from a beautiful beach, with great Restaurants nearby. The rooms have an old-fashioned style, a bit like Faulty Towers but more sophisticated, which could be charming if that’s what you like. But I’ve never felt so unwelcome. This is not a 5 star Hotel. The Front Desk service felt like 2 star service, shockingly unprofessional. When I complained, the man made things worse by apologising while openly gaslighting me at reception. If you’re expecting a 5 star stay, lower your expectations. If you don’t mind being treated with discrimination, you may still have a fairly good time, but it completely spoiled my stay.

We had half board and the food was high quality and well prepared, so I’d recommend it. I also took a yoga class with a really good teacher and had a very good massage. The facilities and room were in great shape and kept clean, with a quiet, relaxed feeling around the pool. We spent a lovely few nights here. The service was friendly and personal, and I came home feeling relaxed and restored. I hope to return. 😊👌

The food was good quality, and the staff were friendly and hardworking. Special credit to Deborah and the bald waiter. It’s an older hotel, but well kept, and the cleanliness was good throughout. The peaceful atmosphere, wellness facilities, and amazing pool all made for a very positive stay. Dinner and breakfast aren’t buffets. That can help the quality, but portions were sometimes very small, like three small scallops as a main course. The showers also had weak pressure, and there wasn’t a smoking area, so you always had to leave the hotel to smoke. Still, a very nice experience, highly recommend.
