Lago Resort Menorca - Only Adults

For a 5-star adults-only resort, I expected discretion, professionalism, and respect for guest privacy. Instead, housekeeping entered our room without permission and interrupted us during a very private moment. It was humiliating and distressing. Later, an incident report with my personal information was left visible at reception, where other people could see it. This raised serious concerns for me about how guest data is handled. The hotel offered to waive late check-out and room service charges, but that response felt completely inadequate given what happened. Despite repeated emails, they wouldn’t offer a meaningful remedy. I was in direct contact with Susanna Alberola about these incidents. After several exchanges, my later emails went unanswered, which was very disappointing. I expected a proper, ongoing response to the privacy and data handling issues I raised, not silence. This was an extremely disappointing stay, and I wouldn’t return.

The pool is huge and amazing, and the sunbeds are comfortable. Thanks to Alfons! We had a massage at the spa and I’m lost for words, thanks, Ray. Our room was beautiful, and the cleaning ladies did an amazing job. We only stayed a few days, but I’ve got nothing but good things to say. Eva, Marina, Brittany and Katrin from the guest experience team were so kind and patient with us, and really helpful. We’ll come back!

Be very careful about what room you get when booking here, because you could be really disappointed. We booked two loft rooms, assuming they’d be in the upper roof area, but both were on the ground floor around the side of the hotel. The only view from the windows was Burger King and its seating area. Sitting outside the rooms meant facing a hotel wall one metre away. At reception, we were told that “loft rooms” doesn’t mean loft rooms as Booking.com advertises, but means a room with a sofa. We were then offered a room without a view of Burger King or a concrete wall for another 500 euros. When I asked how rooms of this quality fit a 5-star rating, they said the description hadn’t promised a view when we booked. We’ll be referring the whole matter to Booking.com. Calling this hotel 5 star with some of the rooms on offer is a joke.

We got upgraded to room 86, which had a jacuzzi, and it was just what I needed for a relaxing break. The location is perfect, close to the beach, with lots of restaurants nearby to choose from. The pool is amazing, the cocktails are delicious, and breakfast has so many tasty options. Don’t miss the little ice cream booth across from the hotel either.
