Port Antic Ciutadella by My Rooms Hotels

We were on a business trip, but ended up leaving and finding another hotel. The place was filthy, smelled unbearably damp as soon as you walked in, and had cockroaches, as other reviews have mentioned. You couldn't call it a “honeycomb” or an “apartment.” I don't know why the health department hasn't seen the reviews and shut it down. The owners are disgraceful for letting the place get into this state. I wouldn't go back even if I were dead.

Despite the good location, my stay at Hotel Port Antic in Ciutadella was a complete disappointment. Insects came in under the door, including cockroaches and large mosquitoes. I also found half-smoked cigarette butts under the sofa, making it seem like it hadn't been cleaned in months. The rooms are right by the sink and breakfast area. Even when people were quiet, simply making coffee was noisy enough to wake me. The bathroom faucet had such low water pressure that it was inconvenient and unusable. There's no privacy in the bathroom either: you can hear absolutely everything, and the smells mix with the rest of the space. I reported the problems by WhatsApp and email, but they haven't even bothered to reply. Between that lack of customer service and the obvious neglect of cleaning and maintenance, I absolutely can't recommend this place. With more care and attention it could be pleasant, but in these conditions and with that attitude, it was simply a bad experience.

The location may be good, but that's all this place has going for it. I stayed four days in a dirty, poorly maintained room, with cigarette butts even under the bed and cockroaches everywhere. I emailed the hotel about it and got no reply. The service was awful, and the facilities left a lot to be desired. Other reviews show people have complained about cockroaches for two years, but the hotel still hasn't fixed what I see as a real health hazard. I don't know whether they were crawling on the bed, but the whole situation was disgusting. I won't be back.

Although it's small, the room makes good use of its space. It has a kitchenette and dining area, plus air conditioning. The shower and toilet are small but functional. There's no stovetop, but you do get a microwave and refrigerator. They give you one code for the outside door and another for your room.
