The night manager moved us after the first room had car fumes coming through a vent that we couldn't shut. The new room had air we could breathe, but it still had no windows. Traffic and trains were very noisy, and the reception phone rang loudly enough to hear from our room. If a good night's sleep matters, I'd avoid Hostal Lady Ana in Collado Villalba.

Reception was helpful, and the room was clean and okay. The shower wasn't working, though, and we could hear the neighbours through the walls.

The location was really good, just a short walk away, and the staff were great. They even helped us with the TV remote when we found it had no batteries. The place was average otherwise. There was tobacco smell throughout, and some device or something behind the wall made a really unpleasant noise at night.

The hot water worked fine, thankfully. But on January 2nd, we arrived with the window open, no heat pump and the radiator off. The bathroom had mold, and the sheets and blankets or quilts were dirty.
