Casa Bolsitas Restaurant was a highlight both days, with delicious, generous traditional meals. On the second day we had roast lamb, which was delicious too, and the family running it were attentive and caring. We had a wonderful weekend in Colmenar, staying at Hostal Colmenar, which was clean, comfortable, and quiet.

The staff were friendly and the room was clean, which is why I’ve given two stars. But we were put on the top floor, where the skylight let in so much light that sleeping was impossible. The room was cold, and the heating barely worked. A comfortable night’s sleep is the minimum I expect at a hostel.

They came to our rescue during a very unusual situation that night. We’re so grateful for how quickly and attentively they helped us.

The owner was incredibly attentive and such a lovely person. We liked our room so much that we loved it, and dinner at the restaurant was delicious. It was a clean, quiet, pleasant place to unwind with my family. We’ll be back. Thank you!
