The rooms feel bright and modern, and the location is ideal, right in the town center on the Camino del Norte. I’d happily recommend it for those things. The check-in setup was a problem for me, though. There’s no in-person check-in, and even after asking to arrive early at 14.00 because I’d be in town ahead of time, I got there at 13.30 and waited until 15.30. I only got the code after calling to ask for it. If you’re walking the Camino and need some flexibility with check-in, this may not work well.

Near the foot of the Picos de Europa, this hotel is a great deal. It feels homey, is very clean and new, and has good equipment. The check-in instructions were a little confusing at first, but once I spoke with the host, everything went smoothly.

The first impression is quite luxurious, with free water and a cookie, soft fluffy towels, and a nice balcony. But sleeping was uncomfortable because the mattress was rock hard. We were also woken several times by the automatic hallway doors. Our neighbours had forgotten their code, so the door kept calling out “one more.” There was plenty of noise from outside too, and we could hear the neighbours snoring.

A really clean, easy place to check into on the Camino. The pharmacy, shop, and restaurant are all within walking distance. I’d come back.
