Cómpeta is a distinctive, characterful village, and the central location gave us a good chance to get to know it. The apartment is modern and nicely decorated, with quality materials. We appreciated the jacuzzi bath, little terrace, shared kitchen and good internet in the rooms. We knew access to the top floor wouldn’t be easy, and the apartment was clean when we arrived. But during our week-long stay, the towels and bedding weren’t changed and the room wasn’t cleaned. There were no spare towels, sheets or cleaning supplies for us to use ourselves, and no replacement bags for the small bin. We were left with two partly used rolls of toilet paper and no more was provided. The toilet has a macerator system, so paper can’t be put in it. Also, the water system above the bedroom was very noisy whenever someone turned on a tap or flushed, day or night, and disturbed our rest. These are clear areas to improve and kept us from giving a higher rating.

It was a beautiful, very quiet area for a holiday, with excellent staff and facilities that were generally in very good condition. The room was nice, clean and tidy, with a TV and a good layout by the bathroom. My only suggestion is a small wardrobe, so clothes don’t get creased in a backpack or suitcase. Otherwise, everything was great. Highly recommended!

We came to get away from our daily routine, and that’s exactly what we’re doing. The village feels authentic and charming, with shops and bars nearby. Our hosts were friendly, attentive and clearly cared about their guests’ well-being. We arrived this morning to find a welcome letter and a small gift waiting for us. The furnishings and decor are spectacular, but still make the place feel calm and relaxing. Everything is clean, new and tastefully done. Thank you for making us feel so welcome. Highly recommended!

We were welcomed with a bottle of local sweet wine, a lovely extra touch. The terrace is beautiful, and the room itself is spectacular, with an Arabian theme and luxurious details throughout. There’s even a hammam pool in the bathroom. Highly recommended.

The owners were attentive and easy to reach throughout our stay, either in person or on WhatsApp. The location was great, and we felt very comfortable at Casa Alegria. Our spacious room had a lovely private terrace, and the shared kitchen was very well equipped.
