Apartamentos La Palmera

Phew.

Alejandro gave us a lovely welcome and was attentive the whole time. The apartment is simple, with a terrace and air conditioning, and has what you need for a few days. There's also a pool and parking. It's in an excellent spot, just steps from the beach. I'd definitely come back.

We stayed for two days in the second half of August. Alejandro, the apartment owner, was rude about demanding cash on arrival, even though Booking doesn't list any such requirement. He also spoke in a cocky, unpleasant tone throughout. Despicable treatment. We'll never return.

The apartment itself was okay, but the mattress was awful and the pillows were filthy, like rags. I’d never stayed in an apartment that didn’t provide towels before. The person in charge was a bit unpleasant, and the bar was the worst part: only certain customers seemed to be allowed in. They came onto our terrace several times to smoke, which invaded our privacy. I won’t be back.
