Apartamentos Patios De Alcántara

It’s a shame because the building could be lovely and the location is good. But upkeep seems to be lacking: dampness, old furniture and an outdated bathroom, no shower curtain, and not enough kitchenware for the number of people the apartment can accommodate. At least we were only there for two nights.

The patio was nice, and the location is the reason I’m giving three stars. The rest was uncomfortable and dated, with mold in the shower and a small kitchen. Check-in didn’t happen at the stated time, and even after asking several times, we weren’t given soap or shampoo.

At least it’s very central, but I couldn’t recommend this place at all. It was cramped and dark, with awful smells all day and a price way too high for the quality. The furniture didn’t match, the beds were badly positioned, and the shower was basically unusable. There wasn’t even anywhere in the bathroom to put a toothbrush. It was impossible to enjoy family time there, even for a couple of hours.

We were five, my parents, my siblings and me, and had plenty of space in the duplex. It was a nice place to come back to and relax, with a very good location. For a one-star hotel, I thought the stay was good. They gave us one large and one small towel each. Upstairs there was a huge attic bedroom and a nicely presented bathroom with a shower. Downstairs were two bedrooms, one without a door, which I think they set up for us, plus a medium-sized shower bathroom. The kitchen had dishes and cooking utensils, but the oven wasn’t available, which was my only complaint. There was also a living and dining room with a sofa, two armchairs, a table and chairs, a TV with DVD and digital terrestrial television that we tuned ourselves, and Wi-Fi.
