Hesperia Cordoba

We loved the views from our quiet, comfortable room, which was clean and had quality fittings. Parking beneath the hotel was excellent, and it was fantastic value. For seeing Cordoba on foot, the location is ideal, just a few hundred metres from the Roman bridge into the city. Check-in was seamless, and reception were professional, friendly, and full of useful tips for our first visit. We'll definitely return to Hotel Hesperia Cordoba. Great hotel, great location, and lovely people working there.

We found the clean room comfortable, with a decent shower, a good-sized safe and fridge, and the best selection of TV channels for British guests among the hotels we stayed in across Andalusia. Hanging space for clothes was limited, though. The river and old town views from the roof bar are lovely, and I'd recommend getting a room facing that way. The upgrade is worth it compared with the rooms at the back. The hotel's location is useful if you're driving: it's across the river from the Mezquita de Cordoba, and a pleasant short walk along the river takes you to Puente Romano de Cordoba and the Torre de la Calahorra. You can avoid the busy center, and the large underground car park has direct lift access to reception and the room floors, though you have to pay. Street parking nearby is usually hard to find. Breakfast has plenty of buffet options, and eggs can be made to order, but the food quality was only adequate and worse than at the other three hotels on our Andalusia road trip. The breakfast room also feels basic. Renovations were underway in October 2025 and weren't intrusive, so perhaps there will be improvements. There's no other restaurant in the hotel, though the roof bar serves snacks. I'd call Hotel Hesperia Cordoba functional and acceptable. The room, rooftop bar, and location are its strong points, while the food quality and lack of a proper restaurant leave room for improvement. Still, it should be perfectly fine for a few days in Cordoba.

My mother was pickpocketed in the city center, and as tourists we had no idea what to do. The hotel staff were extremely kind and supportive, and tried to help as much as they could. I'm especially grateful to the two friendly women at reception. We'd booked an ordinary room for just one night, so we weren't VIPs, but they still treated us with real humanity. The hotel deserves its top rating. Thank you.
