Arc House Funky Hostel

The place and its location are great, but I arrived to find myself assigned to a 6bed dorm even though I'd paid for a double room with a private bathroom. I've been sitting here for an hour waiting for someone to sort out the room, while two other groups have already found theirs. I've called the helpline several times. The person I spoke with was friendly, but that hasn't fixed the problem, and I'm still wondering whether I'll get the room I requested.

The beds were comfortable, though the room had a pretty bad smell, and the bathrooms vary in size and quality from room to room. The place has an interesting, funky feel, but the staff keep to themselves. WiFi is awful, and the kitchen has no oil or seasonings; only half the stove burners work. The terrace is worn and old, and there isn't enough shared space. Fine for sleeping, but not a good setup for cooking or meeting people.

The location is hard to beat, right by the Flamenco Museum, great restaurants, and the historically interesting Córdoba mosque. The family atmosphere is nice, the beds are comfortable, and the rooms have air conditioning. The rooftop terrace is lovely and stays open until midnight, and the kitchen has all the appliances you need. I really recommend it :)

The room was lovely once I finally got in, and the location is lovely too. Getting checked in was a complete mess. I had a pile of emails and WhatsApp messages, but they didn't respond quickly or answer the emergency number. I went back and forth to their office, about 10 mins from the accommodation, and the pin they sent didn't work. Then the key jammed in the door. Everything that could go wrong did, and I was completely fed up. Glad I made it through to tell the tale.
