Puerta De La Ribera Centro

We loved the area and our stay, and are looking forward to returning. Raquel at reception was so kind and helpful, patiently showing us the room choices at different prices. Our room was spotless and smelled lovely, with a pretty view toward a park and river area with a small museum. It had a mini fridge, wardrobe, and two comfortable twin beds. The bathroom had a bidet, always a plus. There’s a cute courtyard where you can get complimentary coffee or another drink. A Turkish place about two metres downstairs serves decent doners until 1am. Downtown is a 5-7 minute walk, and local spots are about five minutes in the other direction. We found free parking three blocks away, and the hotel also has a discount arrangement with a lot one block away.

We only spent one night in Cordoba, but were really glad we found this beautifully restored place. Everything was walkable, with shops and restaurants nearby and a public parking garage not far away. We were there for Noche Blanca del Flamenco and watched a show in the plaza from our balcony, which was so cool. The complimentary non-alcoholic drinks were especially welcome in the heat, and everyone was friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend.

The hotel is in a lovely plaza with a few cute souvenir shops, and a short walk down the street gets you to great restaurants overlooking the river. The receptionist was lovely and very helpful. Complimentary coffee from the machine, soft drinks, and water in the lobby were a thoughtful touch. The toiletries also smelled better than any hotel products we’ve come across in ages. A beautiful place to stay in Córdoba, highly recommended.

The decor is nice and the kitchen has everything you need, but the shower cubicle drains so poorly that it turns into a pool within seconds. There’s a bar directly below the apartment, and the noise was extremely irritating from the middle of the day until about 1am. We live in a busy urban area at home and still found it unbearable. Closing the windows made no difference. I’d read reviews saying the receptionist was nice, but I’m not sure we met the same person. The young bearded man working at checkout was very rude. He answered with single words and blunt gestures, and looked terribly annoyed. We’d only asked where to put our room rubbish, as the hotel requires, and he’d asked us to sign the checkout forms. We didn’t ask him anything else. The whole stay wasn’t great.
