It was expensive, with no WiFi or air conditioning. There was no cell signal either, and no host was present. The place had no windows and felt like a basement.

The one thing going for this place is its very central location, but outside there are garbage containers where people urinate, and the smell is terrible. The room itself was the worst place I’ve ever slept during my travels, a disastrous experience. It’s tiny and dim, with just two bulbs at either end of the bed. My window looked onto an interior courtyard. The air conditioner made noise without cooling anything, and I think a ceiling fan with a light would have worked better. Sound insulation is nonexistent, so you constantly hear people talking or taking calls in neighboring rooms. The Wi-Fi sign seems to be decoration. The connection didn’t work even when I was right under the repeaters around the building. The bathroom could use more cleaning, especially the drains. The shower drain didn’t work properly and overflowed easily.

The location was unbeatable, on a quiet street with no cars, and they provided an iron and ironing board. We got a “last-minute deal” and paid half of the supposed €79 room price, but even at that rate it wasn’t worth it. It could be much better. The bed was terribly uncomfortable, with the springs and frame creaking constantly. The pillow felt like paper, though I know that’s personal taste. The air conditioning was the worst part: even at its lowest setting it only made noise and didn’t cool the room. In Córdoba’s 40-degree heat, I badly missed having a small fridge. The mirror wasn’t placed high enough for someone 1.80 meters tall, and the doors were so thin we could probably be heard from outside, just as we heard other guests. P.S. I also felt uneasy when they took a picture of my ID.

Right in the city center in the Jewish Quarter, the location is great. But the bathroom was awful, and the shower was so dirty I was afraid to step into it. The cleanliness really let me down. Being a cheap hostel is no excuse for it not to be clean.

The walk up to the building is steep, and the street and entrance aren’t accessible, so it’s a poor choice if you have mobility issues. Our window faced a street full of the neighborhood’s trash bins. The room was tiny, with no closet, and had fewer amenities than my storage room. We paid €205 for two nights and felt ripped off.
