We were just passing through and stopped for the €13 set menu, with a starter, main, dessert, drink, and coffee. The food was OK, nothing to complain about, and the separate lunch room made for a quieter, more pleasant meal. They only serve lunch from 1:30 pm. Hospitality wasn’t a strong point, especially for a place connected to a hotel. We found some arrogance and unwillingness. If you need somewhere cheap while passing through, we recommend it.

The table was dirty and nobody cleaned it, and the service was terrible. When I was asked if I wanted a snack, I got a dirty look. Yesterday they charged me €4.80 for three simple coffees. Very unprofessional, and I won’t be back. I don’t recommend it.

I stopped for lunch on Friday at 3:30 pm, just 15 minutes before the kitchen closed. The waiter said it was no problem. The tomato soup was delicious and came in a large portion, and the chicken gizzards in sauce were just as good and generous. If I’m in the area again, I’ll definitely return. Highly recommend.

The meat was awful, the worst I’ve ever had. My medium-rare ribeye was cooked so unevenly you can see it in the photos, and the other meat we ordered was the same. They also got the bill wrong: the wine was listed at €13, but we ordered two bottles and were charged €15 each. On top of that, the waiter inside the restaurant gave even worse service. As I’d just read in the previous review, we weren’t offered the set menu, though it was offered to people we knew at another table. Terrible, absolutely terrible. Not recommended at all.

Lunch was quick and the service really polite. We stopped here on the way to San Martín de Trevejo, and the homemade food was good value. We’ll come back next time.
