We loved the place, the cabin, and the lounge area. My only issue was the food options: the daily menu felt very limited, and on our first day nobody told us we could order from the regular menu. The kids' meal was huge too. Seven sausages with chips is far too much for children under 8 or 9.
A lovely spot for a weekend or just to stop for a drink. It's in a really special setting, inside a nature reserve.
Really nice place, though the houses are a bit run-down.
The cabin was comfortable and clean, and we had plenty of peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings. The welcome was wonderful. A mini-fridge for water or soft drinks would have been handy. The menu was good value, simple but tasty. Saturday's barbecue was nice, and breakfast was superb, with a plate of ham for each person. There are hiking trails nearby too. I'll be back.
The cabins, setting, and location are charming, and the facilities and general cleanliness were acceptable. The maintenance staff were helpful and efficient. The cleaners were friendly and attentive, and the young woman serving tables was especially excellent and professional. The main problem was service organization. We waited about two hours at reception, where only one person was on duty. The waitstaff were generally poor. One waitress with short white hair behaved in a way I found inappropriate and unprofessional, and the bar service from a waiter was unsatisfactory too. The restaurant menu has limited variety, though the food itself was good. Some staff and the location met expectations, but the organization and customer service need considerable improvement.
