Finca El Chaparral

A lovely place, and the owner was lovely too.

The infinity pool is the standout, with incredible views that make it easy to switch off completely. We had another wonderful stay at Finca El Chaparral this past weekend. It’s our third visit, and the cottages are beautiful. From the moment we arrived, the peaceful, relaxing feel was there. Mari, the owner, welcomed us so warmly and made us feel at home again. There’s also the El Madroño restaurant on the estate for lunch, and you can book a day pass to use the pool. We’d give it more than 10 if we could. A spectacular place, and we’ll definitely be back.

Mari Carmen and her family made us feel looked after from the very start, always attentive to what we needed. One of our guests was pregnant, and they took care with the food, checking what she could eat and offering options. The meals were homemade with local produce, generous portions, and excellent quality. The setting is beautiful, with lovely views over Cortelazor. It’s a charming village worth visiting, and Aracena is nearby too, with plenty to do. The houses are well equipped, with comfortable sofas and beds, spacious bathrooms, and a kitchen with an oven, microwave, ceramic hob, large refrigerator, and dishwasher. The windows are insulated, there’s a fireplace to warm the whole space, and air conditioning in every bedroom and the living room. We had a perfect few days away with the family. It’s a charming place we’ll remember for its natural surroundings and the warm hospitality.

Our little house, Poleo, was spotless, tastefully decorated, and had its own special charm. It was equipped so well that we didn’t need to leave, and the mountain views from the house were marvelous. The pool was a real treat, and Aracena is very close by. We had a wonderful weekend, with fantastic restaurant food and breathtaking mountain views. Mari Carmen looked after us exceptionally well throughout our stay. We’ll be back, and wish you all the best!
